The 2 day Colca Canyon Tour – Cañon de Colca in Spanish – offers travellers the opportunity to get up close and personal to countryside life in Peru, spot soaring Andean condors, bathe in secret thermal baths, uncover jaw-dropping vistas, stay in an oasis, and hike along dusty roads into the depths of one of the world’s deepest canyons.

Pick up from Puno at 6:15 AM, then we will start the guided tour to the second deepest canyon in the world: The Colca Canyon.
Along the way, stop at Lagunillas, where we will watch the local birds gracefully soar and explore different lagoons. Drive to the 4,200m where the Pampa Cañahuas Natural Reserve is located. Here you can watch vicunas, llamas and alpacas. Then, Patahuasi for drinking of the famous local coca tea.
Arrival to the highest point Patapampa, located at 4,800m, natural view point where we will see the majestic mountain range.
At 1pm arrive to town of Chivay, located at 3600m. Lunch in Chivay and accommodation. In the afternoon we visit the hot springs La Calera, and then finish by returning to Chivay.
At 7pm will meet the tour guide in the lobby of the hotel and then transfer to the planetarium Maria Reiche, which is located at Casa Andina Colca (Chivay – service available just in a private Colca Tour.
You will learn how the ancient Colca Canyon inhabitants interpreted the night sky according to their myths. After this unique spectacle, have dinner with a folk show. We finish our night by returning to the hotel.
Important : Just Private Colca Tour from Puno includes the visit to the Planetarium in Chivay.
We have an early morning at 5:30AM. After breakfast we begin our departure to the famous Cruz del Condor where it is possible to watch the flight of the Condors. On the way back to Chivay we will visit the different natural view points and the towns of Yanque and Maca.
Arrive to Chivay and have a delectable lunch, then hop in our van and travel to Arequipa city. You can expect arrival to Arequipa and your hotel around 5PM.

To ensure a smooth tour to the it is essential that you bring your original passport with you. It is important that the passport number matches the one you provided when booking your permit, entrances, and reservations. If you are in the process of renewing your passport or changing your name, please provide us with the information from your old passport so that we can secure your permit. Once you receive your new passport number or update your name, we can make the necessary changes for a fee of $25 USD per person. We will require copies of both your old and new passports to complete the process. We advise you to keep a copy of your old passport before making any changes.
Alternatively, if you prefer to avoid the fee, you can bring both your old and new passports with you to Peru. While you can enter Peru with your new passport alone, you will need to present both passports when entering the Inca Trail, Machu Picchu, or boarding the train. Failure to provide both passports may result in denial of entry to these sites. We strongly recommend having both passports on hand to ensure a seamless experience during your journey.
The weather in the region can be highly unpredictable; consequently, it becomes challenging to anticipate specific conditions. To prepare for this variability, we recommend dressing in layers.
