Begin at 7:30 am when the guide picks you up from your Cusco hotel in our van. Our journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas starts with a stop at the Taray viewpoint, offering a breathtaking view of the Urubamba Valley and its traditional farming villages. Witness how the agricultural practices in the Sacred Valley have remained unchanged for centuries and learn about the foods grown in the valley.

Visit the archaeological site of Pisac, known for its impressive Inca cemetery with over 2,000 tombs. Have the opportunity to explore the engineered farming terraces, the Inca tunnel and the religious area of this significant citadel. We spend approximately an hour exploring the Inca city before heading to the colorful Pisac market. Explore and learn how they make local jewelry with real silver found locally in Peru.

Today the highlight is the exhilarating zipline experience. Soar through the Sacred Valley’s skies on our hilltop-to-hilltop zipline tour, offering stunning panoramic views of snow-capped mountains, lush valleys, and the flowing river. The zipline spans distances ranging from 400 to 600 meters, providing a long lasting rush and a full flying sensation.

Continuing our journey, reach the colonial town of Maras, witness the pre-Inca salt mines known as “salineras”. Passed down through generations, these salt pans and their methods used for salt extraction have remained intact since ancient times. The pink hue of the naturally occurring salt makes it a unique sight to behold.

The last stop will be Ollantaytambo, explore the well-preserved Inca village and its massive ruins. Our guide will provide a tour, showcasing the impressive architecture of the Sun Temple atop formidable terraces. Learn about the historical significance of this site during the Spanish conquest. After the tour, drive back to your Cusco hotel, concluding a memorable day in the Sacred Valley.

How to Prepare for Ziplining through the Sacred Valley:

To ensure your safety during the tour, we provide all the necessary safety equipment such as a harness, helmet, and gloves. It is important to keep these items on at all times. The zipline activity is suitable for people of all ages, but please be aware that there is a suspension bridge that requires balance and some upper body strength.

Before you start the zipline, the guide will give you a safety briefing and offer tips to make the most of your experience. However, please note that ziplining is a high-energy activity where you will be secured with ropes and a harness. We advise individuals with heart problems, serious medical conditions, or pregnant women not to participate.
